ReShafting Clubs

Sometimes those shafts just break!

It happens to every golfer at some time: you take a mighty swing, hitting the ball sweetly, and watch the clubhead go flying after the golf ball. It sometimes happens at the driving range, and you have to carefully jog out to find the clubhead while dodging golf balls. Or maybe you're near a tree, and the shaft wraps around it on the follow through (accidentally for some, on purpose for others).

Either way, you will probably need a club re-shafted at some time or another. Perhaps you need a lighter graphite shaft with a lower torque in your driver, or maybe you would like a Sensicore shaft in your irons to control vibration. The shaft is generally considered the engine that drives the club, and customizing the shaft in clubs has become very common.

We regularly use and recommend shaft from the following manufacturers, among others:

WARNING!
Reshafting an OEM club will generally void the warranty on that club,
unless the reshaft work is performed by that company itself.

We "cone" the hosel of all clubs requiring graphite shafts.
This creates a gap
between the shaft and the hosel which cushions the shaft and impact, and helps reduce shaft breakage.

We also specialize in "bore-thru" reshafts which require extra skill
to achieve a professional look and finish.
